Following an executive order from President Trump, a $14 billion divestiture deal has been approved that will shift control of the app’s U.S. operations away from Chinese parent company ByteDance. The agreement brings in Oracle, Silver Lake, and other high-profile investors to position TikTok’s American business as a domestically-operated platform.
