The Industrials sector ranks third out of the 10 sectors for the first quarter of 2015 and receives our Neutral rating. The Industrials sector as a whole underperformed the S&P 500 in 2014, rising 10% to the S&P’s 12%. It was the sixth best performing sector last year, surpassing only the Energy, Materials, Telecom, and Consumer Discretionary sectors in terms of performance. While a 9% annual return is nothing to be ashamed of, there’s greater value here for investors that play their cards right.
